About Us

Besides the EU Delegation, the National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) act as focal points in the Third countries for applicants, beneficiaries and other stakeholders as regards the EU cooperation activities under the Erasmus+ Programme.

 

Our Main Objective

NEO provides the necessary assistance to improve the awareness, visibility, relevance, effectiveness and impact of the international components of the Erasmus+ programme. It follows closely the policy developments in these Third countries in the field of Higher Education (HE), and where relevant vocational Training and Education (VET), Youth and Sport.

 

Our Specific Objectives

  • Assisting the Commission, the European Education and Culture Executive Agency EACEA, the EU Delegations and the Authorities in the third countries not associated to the Erasmus+ programme in the implementation of the international dimension of the Erasmus+ programme in the fields of higher education, relevant vocational training, youth as well as sport; and
  • Supporting promotion and dissemination of EU funded projects.

 

Our Target Groups

Activities of the NEO are targeted at the following groups of stakeholders:

  • All Erasmus+ (potential) applicants, beneficiaries in their countries (such as higher education institutions, staff and students, and where relevant young people, youth organisations, VET organisations, civil society, sport associations, non-governmental organisations, enterprises, academic and professional associations, student associations, professional organisations, research institutions, vocational training institutions) and any other stakeholder eligible for participation in the Erasmus+ Programme in their countries.
  • National authorities, in particular those in charge of higher education, and where relevant youth, sport and vocational training and their affiliate bodies.
  • The NEO maintains contacts with other NEOs (especially in the same Region), with National Agencies in the EU Member States and third countries associated to the Erasmus + programme and other Erasmus+ National Contact points in the other regions (in particular for partner search, exchange of good practices or organisation of joint events).
