Erasmus National Office Disseminates Erasmus+ Actions at the 4th Annual Clinical Audit and Research Conference in Ramallah, Palestine.

Director of Palestine’s Erasmus+ National Office, Dr. Abdelkarim Daragmeh, presented Erasmus+ actions, European Commission's and the Palestinian national priorities at the keynote speaker session in the 4th Annual Clinical Audit and Research Conference in Palestine, an annual event organized by the International Medical Education Trust (IMET).

The conference was held under auspices of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mohammad Abu Mwais; the Minister of Health, Dr. Mai Al- Kailah; Vice-President of the Medical Union, Dr. SufianAlbasit;

IMET’s Executive Director, Dr. Malik Zaben explained in his speech that this conference aims at spreading good practice in medical service provision and in medical research. Dr. Zaben urged participants to conduct applied medical research and to build research networks, both locally and internationally.

In his speech, Dr. Daragmeh introduced Erasmus+ funding opportunities and emphasized the importance of aligning project proposals with EU and Palestine's national priorities. The areas of priority that are relevant to Palestine and in which Palestine can offer significant contributions in terms of knowledge creation or service delivery are listed as health, agrifood, tourism, degitalization, renewable energy and social economy. Dr. Daragmeh also emphasized the support services offered by the NEO office staff during proposal development and in building consortia by networking with EU partners.

The NEO presentation also highlighted the Erasmus+ new calls relevant to the medical field, namely Alliance for Sectoral Cooperation and Partnerships for Innovation.
